Crafting With You Stamp Set

Measurements:

Thick White cardstock: 5-1/4” x 10-1/2” card base, scrap for tag
Basic White
cardstock: 5-1/8” square
Basic Black cardstock: 5-1/2” square, scrap for paint brush handle
Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Azure Afternoon and Gorgeous Grape cardstock: one 1-3/8” circle of each colour
Pecan Pie cardstock: scrap for paint brush
Smoky Slate cardstock: scrap for paint brush

Instructions:

  1. Score the card base at 5-1/4” along the 10 1/2” edge. Fold and burnish with the opening at the bottom.
  2. Stamp six top of the coffee cup images to create two horizontal rows on the front of the card base using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, masking off the handle portion of the stamp so you have circle shaped images. Shade the bottom right portion of each stamped circle with both Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.
  3. Stamp each of the 1 3/8” (hand-cut, punched, or die-cut) colour circles with heart espresso design image using the same colours, ie: Real Red ink on Real Red cardstock, Pumpkin Pie ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, etc. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere one of the cardstock circles to the center of each stamped circle on the front of the card.
  4. Stamp paint splatters around each color circle in corresponding colors, ie: Real Red ink around the Real Red circle, Pumpkin Pie ink around the Pumpkin Pie circle, etc.
  5. Create a 4 1/4” Popsicle shape stencil from copy paper. Lay the stencil horizontally across the middle of the card front. Use a Blending Brush and Smoky Slate ink to shade the Popsicle shape onto the card.
  6. Stamp a piece of Pecan Pie cardstock with the inside of the cup coffee image and the coffee steam image side by side, forming a paint brush shape in Pecan Pie ink. Cut the image out by hand.
  7. Cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock 1/2” x 4” tapering paint brush handle shape.
  8. Cut a 1/4” x 3/4” trapezoid shape piece of Smoky Slate cardstock.
  9. Glue together the brush, brush handle, and trapezoid pieces to create a full paint brush. Add Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend shading to the bottom of the trapezoid shape. Add Basic Black marker detail lines over the shaded area. Secure all the pieces together with a 5” piece of Foam Adhesive Strip on the back.
  10. Stamp a sentiment of your choice in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to a piece of Thick White cardstock. Use a die to cut around the sentiment in a tag shape.
  11. Note: You can shorten the length of the tag by cutting the tag once and then sliding the die up 1/2”. Align the stitching lines, and die-cut again.
  12. Stamp the top right corner of the tag with ink splatter image in Gorgeous Grape ink.
  13. Wrap a piece of linen thread around the barrel of the paint brush. Tie the tag to the paint brush using a double bow.
  14. Mount the paint brush diagonally to the front of the card.
  15. Angle the sentiment tag to the right. Adhere to the front of the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  16. Cover the Stampin’ Blend images that have bled through to the inside of the card base with the 5-1/8” square piece of Basic White cardstock.
  17. If desired, stamp the inside of the card base randomly with colour ink splatters.
  18. Glue the card base to the center of the 5-1/2” Basic Black square cardstock piece.
