Two Tone Flora - Thank You card

This is a great card if you want to practise the two step stamping technique.  There are solid flower images and coordinating shaded detail images in this stamp set so you can add depth and dimension to your handmade card. These colors create a lovely tropical feel, don't you think?

Two-Tone Flora Stamp Set

Two-Tone Flora Dies

Stitched Rectangle Dies

Thick Basic White card stock: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score at 4 1/4"
Basic White card stock: 5 ¼” x 4”, 3” x 4 ¼” frame and scrap for flowers

  1. Stamp the leaves in Granny Apple Green and Parakeet Party ink onto the large piece Basic White card stock as shown.
  2. Add Calypso Coral flowers. TIP: Stamp the detailed part of each flower first in full strength ink.  Stamp off before stamping over the detail. It is much easier to line up the stamps this way.
  3. Stamp the remaining flowers and leaves for the front onto the Basic White piece and die cut out. REMEMBER: for two-step stamping, always stamp the detailed image first. When you go to stamp the overlay image, ink your stamp and then stamp-off on a piece of scrap paper to get a lighter shade to go over the top of the detail that is already stamped. Do this for both the Fresh Freesia and Orchid Oasis flowers. While stamping, you can stamp the inside of your card and your envelope to match.
  4. Select two of the Stitched Rectangle dies to create your frame and run through the Cut and Emboss Machine.
  5. Pop up the frame with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Make sure some of the leaves are inside the frame. If not stamp more before adhering.
  6. Using the Balmy Blue Dark Blend and the inside of the lid of your blend, lightly “flick” speckles over the whole card front.
  7. Adhere the stamped Basic White piece to the front of the card base.
  8. Stamp the Greeting onto the front of your card.
  9. Add the die cut flowers and leaves to the frame corners as shown. Use the dark Daffodil Delight Blend to color the stamens (centers) of each die cut flower.
  10. Add 3 Iridescent Pastel Gems around your greeting.
