Friends Like You

The Positive Thoughts and Natures Thoughts dies are retiring.

Which makes me sad as I do love these two products.

With them retiring they are while supplies last.

So happy I have mine.

I used soft colours for this card. They work so well with the Soft Suede.

Totally loving the colour combo.

So what do you think of the sentiment?

I’m planning on using this card as a birthday card for a friend.

Hoping they like it.

Here’s the Bits and Bobs

Card Base- 8.5”x 5.5” scored at 4.25” on the long side.
First layer 5.25”x 4”
Second layer 5”x 3 3.75”
You’ll need a piece to cut the rectangle from the dies set.
Scraps  for stamping the flower, greenery, and butterfly.

Thanks so much for stopping by.,

Cheers 🍻

Measurements:

• Thick Basic White Card Stock: 8 1/2” x 5 ½
• Basic White Card Stock: 3 ½” x 4 ½”
• Granny Apple Green 3 ¾” x 5”
• Highland Heather Card StockScrap for punching

Instructions:

1. Fold your Thick Basic White Card Base in half.  Scoring first helps the fibers so your card stock edge does not break.
2. Using your decorative mask and the shimmery white embossing paste apply paste to the opposite corners of the Granny Apple Green Cardstock in a small patch, fairly random.  Scrap off excess and remove mask.  Set aside to dry. (Make sure you wash mask and tools immediately in cold water or the paste will harden.)
3. Stamp the greeting in Highland Heather on Highland Heather scrap; punch with the oval punch. Set aside.
4. Adhere Butterflies and Flowers Mask to the Basic White Cardstock with some painter’s tape or washi tape.  Block out any images you do not want to color with sticky notes or tape.  Using the larger, more open, image and your blending brush with Fresh Freesia add color with a circular motion.
5. Do the same with the detail floral mask image but use Highland Heather Ink.
6. Using the leaves place them around your flower coloring some with granny apple green and some with garden green to get a variety of green colors around your flowers
7. Cut the image with the largest Stitched So Sweetly Dies.
8. Adhere the now dry granny apple green layer to the front of your card base with stampin’ seal.
9. Mount the die cut piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals on a slight angle to expose part of the shimmer embossing paste.
10. Mount the punched image in the lower right corner as shown in image.
11. Add Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels to center of flowers and randomly on image

You’ve Been on My Mind

I’m loving the Butterfly Gala Bundle!
And matching it up with The Needlepoint Nook DSP.
Who would of thought Butterflies and needlepoint!

I used Night of Navy for  the card base.
It’s cut at 4 1/4” x 11” and scored at 5 1/2”
The DSP was cut at 4”x 5 1/2” and glued onto the base.
The next piece of Night of Navy is cut 3 3/8”x 4 3/4”
I then cut a of DSP 3” x 4 3/8” and adhere it to the Night of Navy.
The circle is 2 3/4” which I cut from the stitched framelits.
The strip of Balmy Blue is 3 3/7”x 1/2” and stamped with the You’ve been on my mind in Night of Navy.
Butterflies were stamped in Night of Navy ink onto a piece of Whisper White scrap paper. And then punched with the Butterfly punch.
I did add a little bling with the rhinestones and coloured them with the Blends.
They were added using dimensionals.
