Happier Than Happy

Here’s the card sketch we did at our Team Get Together last night. It was a Mystery Card and the creations everyone made were gorgeous! It’s amazing what a bunch of crafters can create with just a few dimensions.

I love this sketch.  My Week 3 of my 12 Weeks of Christmas is done using this sketch. You’ll need to stay tune for that card as it will be live on Thursday. You’re more than welcome to sign up for my 12 Days in the link below.

Here’s the bits & bobs for this card.
Ok I cheated and just took a photo for ya.
All the measurements are in inches.

• Early Espresso CS: 2” x 3” or scraps for die-cutting
• DSP: 3-9/16” x 4-13/16

Instructions:

1. Score a 3-13/16” x 10-1/8” piece of Evening Evergreen CS at 5-1/6”; fold.  Score the front flap of the card from the top right corner to the bottom left center fold line. Fold the bottom right corner to the inside of the card at the diagonal score line; burnish. Glue the folded card to the center of a 4” x 5-1/4” piece of Soft Succulent CS. Mount to the center of a 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” piece of Thick White CS.
2. Glue a 3-9/16” x 4-13/16” piece of Thick White CS to the inside back of the Evening Evergreen folded card.
3. Cut a 3-9/16” x 4-13/16” piece of DSP at a diagonal from the top right corner to the bottom left corner. Glue one triangle piece centered on the bottom right section of the card front.
4. Die-cut one large Soft Succulent label. Glue the bottom section of the label to the card front over the DSP.  Do not have any adhesive beyond the center diagonal fold line.
5. Die-cut the large pinecone base background image from Evening Evergreen CS.  Remove about 2-1/2” of the die-cut at the top trimming where the pine needles meet so they are shaped well at the bottom. Glue to the left top portion of the Soft Succulent label making sure no adhesive goes beyond the center fold line.
6. Die-cut one large Thick White CS and one large Soft Succulent CS pinecone detail background image. Cut out three pine needle sprigs in varying sizes from each color.  Layer the die-cut sprigs over the Evening Evergreen die-cut, once again being making sure the adhesive does not go beyond the center fold line.
7. Stamp a piece of Thick White CS with the holly leaf images in Evening Evergreen ink and two of the berry images in Real Red ink. Die-cut out the images with the coordinating dies.
8. Randomly add some Cinnamon Cider ink to a piece of Crumb Cake CS. Die-cut one large and two small pinecone base images.
9. Die-cut one large and two small Early Espresso pinecone detail images. Glue the detail die-cuts to the front of the coordinating base images.
10. Add the stamped holly leaves, berries, and two cardstock pinecones (one large, one small) over the pinecone sprigs on the front of the card. Note that the small pinecone is attached with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
11. Die-cut one small white label that fits well in the center of the Soft Succulent labelStamp the label with sentiment of choice in Evening Evergreen ink.  To use the horizontal “Merry Christmas” sentiment vertically, ink the “Merry” portion of the stamp only and stamp slightly above center on the label. Clean the stamp well, verifying that no ink remains before loading the stamp with ink again. Ink the “Christmas portion only and stamp below the “Merry”. Mount the label to the front center of the Soft Succulent label over the die-cuts using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
12. Add three green Genial Gems to the card front, on and around the sentiment label.
13. Trim one small sprig from each of the Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent die-cut pinecone base remnants. Decorate the inside bottom right corner of the card base with sprigs, berries, small pinecone, and red rhinestones as desired.  The small pinecone needs to be mounted on a Stampin’ Dimensional so it holds the front flap of the card base in place when the card is opened.
