Relaxing Waterside - Today is Your Day

Create serene designs inspired by carefree days on the shore. The Relaxing Waterside Bundle includes stamps and dies perfect for crafting cards, tags, and scrapbook pages that are casual yet refined.

Use the stamps to set the scene with gentle lines and sentiments and add dimension with die-cut pieces that echo the same laid-back vibe.

Waterside Retreat - scraps

Instructions:

1. Fold card base on score line.
2. Using Scoring Tool, score every ½” on card front.
3. Die cut 2 arches out of white cardstock, as shown. Save the middle part that comes out – we will be using that, too!
4. To build the arched scenery panel (this is the piece that came out from the previous step).
a. Take a scrap piece of paper of any kind and cut some cloud arches to make your own cloud stencil. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just some curved lines as you can see in the photo.
b. Create some clouds using a Blending Brush, Balmy Blue ink, and your cloud stencil.
c. Rip the top off the Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, and Misty Moonlight cardstock strips.
d. Layer these strips on arch panel, as shown.
5. Cut 2 wood posts: ½” x 1 ¼” and 3/8” x 1 ¼”.
6. Wrap some Linen thread around one of the wood posts, securing on the back with Mini Glue Dots.
7. Tie a knot in another small piece of Baker’s Twine and adhere to wrapped thread on post using a Mini Glue Dot.
8. Adhere posts to arch panel, using Dimensionals, and making them different heights.
9. Stamp 2 birds in the sky, using Smoky Slate ink.
10. Stamp another bird on scrap white cardstock, using Memento Black ink.
11. Add a little Smoky Slate color using Blend on bird wing.
12. Die cut bird and adhere to arch panel, using Foam Adhesive Strip.
13. Adhere white arch panel to card front, using Dimensionals.
14. Adhere die cut white arch frame to card front, using Foam Strips.
15. Stamp sentiment on scrap white cardstock, using Misty Moonlight ink.
16. Punch using Three Banner Punch, and adhere to card front, using Dimensionals.
