Week 8 of my 12 Weeks of Christmas

  


This week we have a wonderfully, wintry Hot Chocolate holder to make to warm up those cold, cold days of winter!
Nothing says “You gnome me so well” like this cutie.


Hot Chocolate Holder

Here are the products and measurements I used:

Supplies


Stamp and Die Bundle: Kindest Gnomes Bundle (159626), Frosted Flurry Dies (159811)

Cardstock, DSP and Specialty Paper: Basic Black cardstock (121045), Basic White cardstock (159276), Petal Pink cardstock (146985), Real Red cardstock (102482), 

Gold and Rose Metallic Specialty Paper (156844), Festive Foils DSP (159536), 

Ink: Real Red (147084)

Tools: Mini Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine (150673), Very Best Trio Punch (159878), Decorative Circle Punch (159174)

Embellishments: Real Red and Garden Green 3/8" ribbon (159577)

Miscellaneous:  Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755), Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (144108)


Measurements


Basic Black cardstock: 4" x 11", scored at 1 1/4", 5 1/2", a scrap for the Gnome's shoes

Real Red cardstock: scrap for the decorative circle

Basic White cardstock: scrap for Gnome's beard and sentiment

Petal Pink cardstock: scrap for Gnome's nose

DSP: 3 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Gold Metallic Specialty Paper: scrap for snowflake and Gnome's hat.

Real Red Ribbon: 6" piece


Instructions

  1. Punch both sides of each end of the Basic Black piece using the Very Best Trio Punch.
  2. Fold and burnish on both score lines. Fold the 1 1/4" piece to the front. 
  3. Adhere the piece of Real Red ribbon to the front of the fold and wrap around to the back. 
  4. Adhere the piece of DSP onto the front of the holder (and under the flap)
  5. Adhere both sides of the flap to the back.
  6. Cut out the snowflake and the Gnome's hat from a scrap of Gold Metallic Specialty Paper. Set the Gnome's hat aside.
  7. Adhere the snowflake to the holder flap using a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.
  8. Punch out a circle using the Decorative Circle Punch with the scrap of Real Red cardstock.
  9. Cut out the Gnome's beard from a scrap of Basic White cardstock and the Gnome's nose from a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock.
  10. Cut out the Gnome's boots from a scrap of Basic Black cardstock.
  11. Adhere all pieces, including the hat, to the Real Red Decorative Circle and adhere to the card front.
  12. Stamp the sentiment in Real Red ink onto a scrap of Basic White card stock. Cut to size and adhere to the Gnome using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
