Trip through the Rockies and Scary Cute Easel Post-it Note Holder

Happy Wednesday My CraFty Friends.

Hoping you are all doing well. At the moment we are on holidays and making our

way to Vancouver Island over the next couple of weeks. Then we’re heading back home via the Northern States.

And yes there will be some shopping along the way.

Yesterday we drove from Innisfail to Penticton and had a gorgeous trip through the Rockies.

But I must say the longest part of the drive was driving through Kelowna. It seems like we were driving for hours, and hit every red light on Hwy 97.

I took some photos of the drive and would love to share them with you.

Measurements:

• Basic Black – 4 ¼ x 11 scored 5 1/2
3 x 4 scored on the 4-inch side at ½, 2, 3 ½
4 ½ x 5 ½ scored on the 5 ½ side at ½, 2 ½, 3 & 5 and on the 4 ½ inch side ½, and 4.
Scrap for witch hat, band and stars
• DSP – 4 x 5 ¼, 2 ¼ x 3 ¼
• Basic White – 7/8 x 1 ¾

Instructions:

1. Fold and burnish the score line with bone folder on the Basic Black base. Adhere the larger DSP to the front of the base.
2. Fold and burnish the 3 x 4 piece as directed. Fold on the score line down the middle and fold either side score up. Put tear and tape on each of the ½ inch tabs. Take the base and lay flat the folded 3 x 4 piece on the bottom of the inside almost all the way to the bottom. Take the backing off one side of the tape and adhere to the inside, turn over and repeat. You have now made your easel.
3. Fold and burnish on the score lines of the little box. On the long score lines there is a small square in the middle, cut up the score to the connecting line and remove the small square. Using multipurpose glue, put some on the half inch on both sides. Fold up to make a pocket or box.
4. Put the post-it notes in the pocket and adhere the dsp to the front and put tear & tape on the back. Remove backing and stick to the front of the base.
5. Put 2 small strips of washi on a black scrap and then punch out the band for the witch hat. Also punch out of black the witch hat and the stars. Adhere the band to the black hat. Adhere one of the stars over the glitter band.
6. Stamp the sentiment on the basic white piece, punch a banner with the banner pick a punch and adhere to the front of the pocket.
7. Using black dimensionals adhere witch’s hat to the other side of the pocket.
8. Adhere the other 2 stars as shown.
