Hello…Ladybug or Bumblebee

Hello Ladybug Bumblebee Card

Supplies:

 

• Stamp Sets: Hello Ladybug (157693) or as a  discounted bundle with Ladybug Builder Punch (157699)
• Card Stock and Paper: Basic White Thick CS (159229); Basic White CS(159276); Bumblebee CS (153077); Basic Black CS (121045); Old Olive CS (100702); Soft Sueded CS (115318); Vellum CS (101856); All Together 6”x6” DSP (160039)
• Stamp Pads: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708); Bumblebee (152116)
• Tools: Peach Dies (155829);Ladybug Builder Punch (157698) or as a discounted bundle with Hello Ladybug stamp set (157699); Layering Circles Dies (151770)

Measurements:

 

• Basic White Thick: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”, and burnished with the Bone Folder
• Basic White: Cut (2) 5 ¼” x 4”
• Bumblebee: 3 ¼” x 3 ¾”
• Basic Black: 1 ½” x 1 ½”, plus scraps for ladybug (bumblebee) body
• Soft Suede: scraps for branch
• Old Olive: scraps for leaves
• All Together Designer Series Paper: scraps of striped design
• Vellum: Scraps for bee wings

 

Instructions:

1. Emboss white cardstock (5 ¼” x 4”) using the Hive 3D Embossing Folder and adhere to card front using Dimensionals.
2. Die cut Soft Suede branch and Old Olives leaves using Peach Dies and adhere to card front.
3. Print hive pattern on to scrap computer paper, fussy cut, and trace on to Bumblebee cardstock.
4. Fussy cut Bumblebee hive and emboss using Paints & Splatters Embossing Folder.
5. Die cut smallest circle on hive, using Layering Circles Die.
6. Add Bumblebee ink to front of hive using Blending Brush.
7. Adhere black cardstock square to card front using Stampin’ Seal (first, position the hive on card front so you know to adhere the black cardstock.)
8. Adhere hive to card front using Dimensionals.
9. Punch black ladybug body and adhere to card front using Dimensionals.
10. Die cut just the round body part using Ladybug Builder Punch and striped print from DSP pack (you may have to trim excess so it’s in a circle).
11. Color white stripe using Daffodil Delight Blends, then adhere to ladybug body.
12. Punch Vellum wings and color with Wink of Stella.
13. Adhere wings to ladybug body using 1 Glue Dot
14. Adhere Matte Black Dot on wings.
15. Stamp sentiment and flowers on the other piece of white cardstock, inside of card using Memento Black and Bumblebee inks.
16. Add Matte Black Dots to centers of flowers
17. Adhere to inside of card
